Andrulian This EP was created using guitar, delay pedals and a looper pedal. It has an excellent experimental feel with great use of delay, layered sounds and feedback and Roofhare gets a huge range of sounds from the guitar. I really like the development of rhythmic sounds and interplay between the different delay effects which gives an ambience with a darker edge and great tension at times. Favorite track: Phronesis.

about

During the summer of 2016, I purchased Raster and Particle pedals from Red Panda. Both are delay pedals, but very different than your vanilla delays. Delay effects, for me, are a way of exploring with rhythm and space; an important element in much of my music and in my guitar playing, especially when combining different delays, like these two.

As a second element, I explored using these two effects both in series and in parallel effect chains. I used the Paralooper pedal by Dwarfcraft to create the parallel chain. This provides much more clarity in the tracks and less muddiness, especially when using reversed delays, and also gives the Red Panda pedals a bit of a boost. I have since redesigned my entire pedalboard using the BOSS ES8 loop switcher. I will use it in future releases. These pedals have helped me rediscover guitar playing, an ongoing journey since this summer.

This EP is the first release that has emerged from this new direction, and I hope you will enjoy it and recognize the joy I get from working with these tools. The first three tracks are entirely guitar based while the fourth track does not use guitar and is based on manipulating the self-oscillation capacity of both pedals.
